Roger Weaver, DAAP '72, recalls that fellow classmates would strike fear in the hearts of unsuspecting students by placing imitation notes on the desks of the best students in the class. "After a while," he remembers,"it got to be a mark of honor to be 'Petersen'd,' as we called it. Professor Petersen is no longer with us, but his strong advocacy of design still affects my work on a regular basis."
