Still under consideration, the study to renovate MSB proposes construction of a 200,000-square-foot addition to house the Center for Academic Research Excellence. The five-level structure would provide a new entry for the College of Medicine, teaching laboratories, research space and offices.
Because the new building will free up room in the current building, additional study is attempting to determine if the colleges of pharmacy and nursing will be able to move to MSB, thus uniting the three medical colleges.
