Clermont's addition is still under construction and due to open in October 2000. The campus will gain two new buildings, which together will equal nearly 37,000 square feet.
One classroom building will be connected to the Snyder Building with a pedestrian bridge. It will contain computer labs, biology labs, facilities for court reporting and a small greenhouse.
Completing the "Quad" will be a new Student Services Center for registration, cooperative education and related student functions. To capitalize on the scenic wooded land surrounding campus, a wetland will be developed, and the entrance drive will be relocated. Parking will also expand.
Clermont opened its doors in '72 with 281 students. Last year, the school experienced a 13 percent increase in enrollment, bringing the current figure to approximately 2,400 students.
