FIGURA-PRIMA, a bronze sculpture standing nearly 14 feet tall, one of a series of pieces known as "hand-like trees," greets visitors as they arrive at the main plaza of the CCM campus village. In the background is Memorial Hall, which was converted from a dormitory into individual and chamber-music practice rooms and teaching studios. Magdalena Abakanowicz is an internationally acclaimed Polish sculptor.
