Magazine nabs three awards

The UC magazine recently won three awards at a regional conference of university peers, sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education:
  • Gold medal — To artist Dawn High in the category of "design, series" for one year's worth of magazines. In that category, the UC magazine was the only magazine to win, and the gold medal was the only one awarded.
  • Bronze medal — To photographer Lisa Ventre in the "best individual candid photo" category for a photo of the women's rowing team practicing on the Licking River early in the morning.
  • Bronze medal — To photographer Dottie Stover in the "best individual structured photo" category for a photo of the inside of the McMicken clock tower.

The University of Cincinnati is part of CASE district five, which includes 462 member institutions from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
