In October 1996, a massive nationally recognized project designed by signature architect Peter Eisenman was completed, adding 130,000 square feet to the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning and reorganizing existing buildings. To use minimal space, the new Aronoff Center for Design and Art connected to the existing DAAP complex and reflected the existing geometric orientation. The land north of the Aronoff was landscaped to complement Burnet Woods across the street.
