Big East fireworks over University of Cincinnati
UC's Big East celebration, July 1, 2005, culminated with an impressive 25-minute display of fireworks over campus. The all-day party, from the breakfast for employees to the noon rally downtown on Fountain Square to the concert and fireworks in the evening, was designed to mark the University of Cincinnati's highly anticipated move from Conference USA to the Big East.

Families crowd into the UC baseball stadium for the Big East day
Families arrived early for the kids fun zone. Plus, most in attendance received a free Bearcat ball cap.
